- What is WereYouThere?
-
WereYouThere was inspired by the belief that everyone has stories that deserve an audience. The site is designed to enable members to weave their memories together into a communal archive of interesting stories and conversations about the people, places, times and events that shape our lives. We're just getting started and we welcome your suggestions. You can help us grow by sharing a few of your own stories and inviting friends to join the conversation. Please see the ABOUT page for more information.
- Is posting on WereYouThere the same as blogging?
-
No. Blogging is great, but the fact is that with over 100 million blogs now on the internet, most go largely unread. WereYouThere is designed to bring people together through shared life experiences. In other words, your stories get the audience they deserve – and you get to meet people with similar memories and interests. The best way to see how WereYouThere works is to browse through the various topics and see what other members are sharing.
- What are tags?
-
Tags are labels or keywords that describe your post. These keywords help users find specific content when conducting a search. For example, if your post is a photo of the sun setting on a beach in Maui, you might add the following tags: sunset, Maui, Hawaii, beaches. When a user does a search for any of these words, your post will appear in the search results.
