I was traveling in Bali and we decided to visit a Balinese compound to understand more about the lifestyle of people on this beautiful island.  As we walked in the local neighborhood, we saw boys flying kites, and an older woman placing offerings on a shrine.  Across the street, an old man was sitting in front of a doorway.  He was working intently intently on a smalll wood carving.  Without interrupting his work, I captured this image.  He continued to work and then later got up an left the carving where he had been sitting.  I went back to look at his craftsmanship and the carving looked just like the old man...a self portrait in carved in wood.
