I went to Chicago this past spring as a chaperone for my daughter's 8th grade class trip.  Of all the places we visited, my favorite was the Crown Fountain in Millenium Park. The fountain was crowded with people from all walks of life. It's a great place to people watch and revel in the diversity. There was a man in a 3-piece suit wading in the fountain, tourists with cameras, children playing and splashing and older adults sitting on the sidelines just watching. I was especially charmed by this young child who was oblivious to everything going on around her while she studied the reflection of her own hands in the water.
